Unlike traditional 'talk therapy' that digs into past traumas, SFH focuses on what you want to achieve. We look at your preferred future rather than the problems of the past. It combines Psychotherapy (therapeutic conversation) with Hypnosis (a relaxed state of focused attention) to help you make positive changes in a relatively short period.
Absolutely not. This is the biggest myth about hypnotherapy! You are in complete control the entire time. You cannot be "made" to do anything against your will or your values. Think of it more like a guided daydream or being deeply engrossed in a book.
Most people describe it as a state of deep relaxation and calm. You’ll remain aware of your surroundings and my voice, but your mind will be relaxed enough to process new, positive ideas without your 'inner critic' getting in the way.
